Cleveland Browns 2017-18 NFL Season Preview Football Odds & Free Predictions

The Story:
With a massive offseason overhaul, the Cleveland Browns are finally going in the right direction but if that can translate into wins remains to be seen yet at least there is hope for this troubled franchise. Though they haven’t found their franchise quarterback in this year’s draft, the Browns can afford to wait another season to find their dream QB and build on what they have acquire in what was a positive haul back in April. The quarterback situation is still up in the air with Cody Kessler, Brock Osweiler and DeShone Kiser vying for the position.

Kessler and Osweiler have proven that they are not elite material and will operate as stop gaps for Kiser who could emerge as the preferred choice as the signal-caller. Kiser has the arm and mobility but has a lot to learn about the nature of the position and with proper coaching, he could be the answer to start the season. The defense has improved significantly with DE Myles Garrett and S Jabrill Peppers figuring to make an immediate impact as rookies and both add athleticism to the defense. Veterans C Joe Haden and LB Jamie Collins will provide the proper tutorial for the pair to make headway in the defensive scheme.

The Bottom Line:
Yes, the Browns have improved and are no longer the worst team in the league when you analyze the roster. The quarterback situation remains a mystery and frankly, none of the three signal callers are fit to take the Browns to a winning record this season. The future looks bright though for Cleveland but they are a couple of years away of making any waves in the tough AFC Central. They have a few winnable games against the Jets, Jaguars and Bears and could squeeze out a few upsets.

Cleveland Browns Last year’s record: 1-15
