Pittsburgh Steelers 2017-18 NFL Season Preview Football Odds & Free Predictions

The Story:
Expectations are high once again as it is always for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they embark on a 2017 season with aspirations of not only reaching the Super Bowl but to claim it altogether. It is a viable ambition since they lost to the eventual Super Bowl Champions last year and were without RB Le’Veon Bell in last year’s AFC Conference Championship against the New England Patriots. The Steelers will still feature their high-powered offense led by Ben Roethlisberger who remains one of the top quarterbacks in the entire league. The 35-year old had a banner year in 2016 missing out on the 4,000 yards. With Bell healthy superstar WR Antonio Brown and the return of Martavis Bryant, Roethlisberger will once again thrive.

If Bryant can’t stay out of trouble, the Steelers selected WR JuJu Smith-Shuster in the second round of the draft and the talented USC product could have an immediate impact. Although the defense has had its ups and downs last year, it is young and explosive and will only get better with time. If it can catch with the tremendous offense, this Steelers squad could easily threatened the Patriots for the title. The Steelers have a relatively easy schedule especially in the first eight games with only two teams which have reached the playoffs last season. They will be tested though after their bye week with encounters against the Packers and the Patriots but both games will be played at Heinz Field.

The Bottom Line:
With an a furious offense capable of reaching new heights along with a defense just good enough to limit damages and a much easier schedule, there is no reason why the Steelers can’t exceed last year’s record of eleven wins. Anything less than partaking in the AFC Championship game would be a disappointment. The Steelers have all the ingredients to unseat the Patriots in the AFC and if Roethlisberger can stay healthy, there is no reason why the Steelers can’t reach the Super Bowl.

Pittsburgh Steelers Last year’s record: 11-5
